But we’re confident that you’ll love the outcome.  Lockport Street in downtown Plainfield will experience a dramatic transformation this year as the street’s century-old utilities are upgraded and the road is reconstructed to create an enjoyable, pedestrian-focused shopping, dining, and service environment.  This means wider sidewalks, new benches, landscaping, garbage cans, a pocket park and more!

TCC knows that it is sometimes an effort to come downtown to shop and we thank you for your continued support during this exciting adventure.  The Streetscape theme is “Downtown Plainfield...On The Rise” so look for this tagline in local papers to receive updates on the project, promotions and parking.  There are over 50 events planned for downtown Plainfield in the coming year and we’ll keep you as informed as possible as the journey takes flight.

A bit about parking…downtown Plainfield has five off-street parking lots offering long-term parking.  This includes the parking lot located south of Lockport Street between Illinois and Route 59, the former First Midwest parking which was recently secured by the Village of Plainfield.  (See
parking map .)  Also, you can access TCC’s parking lot from Des Plaines street.  Simply turn into the alley just north of Lockport Street and you can enter from the side door.

Take advantage of the Village sponsored “Four for $400” Downtown Rewards program.  From January 19th to February 29th, spend a combined total of at least $400 at four or more downtown businesses and earn a $50 gift certificate for future downtown purchases.  It’s like a downtown frequent flyer miles reward!
