Store Events
TCC offers a variety of informal, fun tastings to help you get acquainted with our products. We send out a monthly newsletter, updating you on all the happenings in the store which includes a handy, quick-reference calendar to keep your favorite events on your radar. We offer tastings twice a week. Our tastings are held on Thursday and Saturday evenings from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Most of our tastings are complimentary, but check out our newsletter for all of the details of the evening’s theme.

What’s Doing Downtown:

The Less Clueless Clinic
TCC is thrilled to announce the success of the Less Clueless Clinic.  You may be familiar with our Less Clueless series of wine tastings where we touch on some basic Wine 101 concepts like how to taste wine, wine terminology, and wines of particular regions.  To take this concept one step further, TCC is conducting wine classes and cooking exhibitions to demonstrate the harmony of food and wine; a series of courses entitled The Less Clueless Clinic.  Each week, we will feature a different theme from a variety of series that include:

The Basics of International Wines & Cuisine Series
Wine 101 Series
Entertaining at Home Series
Pastry and Dessert Wines Series
Pairing Beer and Food Series

The clinic will be conducted every Friday starting at 8:30 PM.   Ticket cost includes cooking demonstration, food and wine tastings, and instructional material.  Space for each class is limited, so please call TCC for reservations.  Please note that the cost may vary for each of the sessions given the content.

TCC’s Fourth Anniversary Tasting
Saturday, September 6th, 1PM to 5PM
We know that our success is the result of your support and we sincerely appreciate the effort you make to come downtown to shop with us – especially during construction! To say thank you, we are hosting our annual Grand Anniversary Tasting.  Like the prior three Grand Tastings, our vendors will set up outside in our tented parking lot where you’ll sample the wines.

We’ll be sampling close to 100 wines and offering discounts on every wine you purchase.  With our tiered discounting, the more you purchase, the more you save.

In addition, we’ll be sampling some of our gourmet beers, artisan cheeses, and specialty foods.  Enter our raffle to win a free case of wine (value not to exceed $250). For your entertainment, we will have our own Kate Foley and Piano Bob on hand to perform our favorite jazz tunes.  Don’t miss the afternoon full of fun!

Please note—TCC will close for the evening after the tasting is completed to return the store to its “normal state”.

Wednesday, September 17th, 6:30 PM, Plainfield Supper Club Wine Dinner
Join us tonight for another fabulous wine dinner!  The Plainfield Supper Club, f/k/a The Lazy Lizard, still offers the finest cuisine from Chef Tom only now with a comfort food twist.  The cost is $50 per person (includes tax) for four courses and four different wines.
